HEB is grocery store company located in San Antonio, Texas. It is USA based supermarket chain with more than 315 stores throughout U.S. state of Texas and northern Mexico. HEB started in September 26, 1905. The history began when Florence Butt opened the C.C. Butt Grocery Store on the ground floor of her family home in Kerrville, Texas. Florence Butt started this business with a $60 dollar that she borrowed from Mrs. C. C Butt’s Staple and Fancy Grocery. In 1919, Florence Butt turned over the management of the business over to her son, Howard Edward Butt. He first started getting involved in this business as a delivery boy who delivered groceries from the store by a wagon. When he took over the management, Howard Butt implement a major low-cost distribution innovations. His idea is to eliminate middlemen and maximized profits.
