* Sony Play station 4 (PS4) is an incremental, competence enhancing type of innovation. It is incremental and competence enhancing because Play Station 3 (PS3) is already a product which is presently in the market and PS4 is the upgrade version of it.

* Today the people in the market are found of video games and eagerly waiting for the latest version of Play station because PS3 was released in the year 2006. It was the competing with Microsoft Xbox 360 as it was released in the year 2005. Today as we can see there are only two big companies fighting in the market for gaining customer satisfaction through their products.

* The timing of entry of PS4 will be released this year as the first look of the product got released on February 20th 2013. If we compare both Microsoft Xbox and Sony PS4, Sony PS4 will be the First mover in the market as we can expect the product can be released first in the market.

* Okay what is the reason to upgrade Play station? PS4 can play blue ray drive DVD’s and it has 3 USB ports, WI-FI and Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, Analog AV- output and Optical digital audio output. It is determining the Play station Cloud services where even the PS1, PS2 and PS3 games can also be played. It is also upgrading the Dual Shock 4 Controller in which it has touch pad, a “share’’ button and a standard head phone jack that will accept all standard head phones.

* It is also coming up with GAIKAI cloud technology as it can be the “fastest gaming network”. It will be also able to scan the last few minutes of your game play with your “Share” button.
