The beauty of Trees

The most common definition of a tree that is given is “a plant having a permanently woody main stem or trunk…” A tree however is so much more than just a plant. It offers us as well as most of all other terrestrial animals with shelter, they help keep the environment clean, make the earth look a bit more peaceful, and provide us with food.

All animals have some type of shelter to help protect them from any outside dangers. Trees help to provide housing for birds, insects, and many other creatures in the world. They not only help them, but help humans especially to build houses and many essential things that we might use every day. Trees not only offer us housing, but can shield use from strong winds and provide us with shade during a hot summer day. Without trees the world today wouldn’t be the same. This is not only because it provides shelter during extreme weather conditions but because it provides us with something that we often take for granted oxygen.

The main necessities of trees are a steady supply is sunlight, water, and Carbon Dioxide. As a result of this, when they take in Carbon Dioxide they produce oxygen for us all to breathe. The more we plant tree the cleaner our ozone layer becomes. The importance of trees in our world today is a greater need to us than ever before. Due to deforestation, natural disasters, etc. forests have been destroyed and therefore the number of carbon emission is greater than the number of oxygen being supplied. “A major consideration for rebalancing the global carbon cycle is to plant permanent vegetation to help extract carbon dioxide from the air and store it as wood fiber.” Planting Trees not only helps us to help keep the environment clean but it also allows us to admire the beauty that God has created for us. “It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes...
