In my opinion, religion is not very important to me (I will address that with more detail further along.). As for others, religion is very important to their livelihood and the way they act and treat others. It gives these people something to strive for and gives them structure on how they are supposed to live. I will attempt to describe basic components of religious traditions and their relationship to the sacred. It will include what a religious tradition says, including its teachings, texts, doctrine, stories, myths, and others. I will also try to explain what a religiously traditional person does including worship, prayer, pilgrimage, ritual, and so forth, and how a religious tradition tends to organize themselves, including leadership, and its relationships among members.

  Religious traditions are a set of beliefs that people of a certain religion do out of respect, and how they were raised and how they were brought up. They follow the same traditions taught to them because they have been done for many years by their ancestors for as long as they can remember. These traditions vary from one religion to another religion, based on what one would believe in. Each religion has it specific texts, stories, and myths, which allow people to read about the traditions of that particular religion. For example, the Christian religion uses the Holy Bible that was written by men to express the word of God that was inspired by Him and His Holy Spirit. In the Bible, it begins with the story of the beginning of earth and how God created man and how sin was brought into the world. The Bible also tells us very important stories on the punishments God has made to people that do not follow His laws, as well as stories that tell about how God loves us. Not only are those stories important, the Bible also tells us how we as humans were separated from God by sin and how we can be saved through His only begotten son, Jesus.
