Shae's Tale

After our little scrape with the Gelth,

I thought it best for our crew's health

if I took the wheel of the ship instead,

sometimes my Guardian gets in over his head.

The girls I could tell by now were quite shaken,

our companions not used to being taken

by space prawns and Gelth and Nestenes alike.

So from the console I pulled out the mic

and said 'take us somewhere calm, relaxing;

somewhere not so physically taxing'.

As the ship began to whirr and hum

The Guardian rolled his eyes and drummed

His fingers on the rail, i could see his lack of flair

He thrived better with adventure in the air.

The Console made a ringing noise and said

'coordinates locked, course holding stead'

for the moon belt of Trean we were bound,

Where the many moons spin all around

If you get a good push off the surface

You will find a new joyful purpose.

The gravity fields play fast and loose

you can simply jump to what moon you choose

without having to deal with the worry

that the void of space could turn you gory.

"Moon boots no more a necessity

when floating in the region of Trean!"

A fun little chant that the locals have

brought a smile to Nicole and Diane.

We were well on our way when suddenly

A little surprise we’d have never seen

Came colliding, crashing through our capsule’s

Outer shell, sending us spinning in circles

The boy in dark garb before you’s to blame

This is part of his childish games

For it was his ship that crashed into ours

Sending us falling over castles and farms

This is how we came to be here, you see

And most thankful for your hospitality

But now I see a problem that further arises

And will expose The Meddler’s guises

How is it your have a newspaper here

When no printing press is for a dozen years?
