Telstra Corporation limited is an Australian telecommunications and Media Company, building and operating telecommunications networks and marketing voice, mobile, Internet access and pay television products and services (Telstra, 2013). Telstra also is Australia’s largest telecommunications company and it is the only state-owned enterprises of Australian Federal Government. On October 1997, the Australian government began to sell 49.9% shares to institutional investors and individual investors, the company implemented a partial privatization, and the government still holds 50.1% shares. Telstra build technology and content solutions that are simple and easy to use—including Australia’s largest fully integrated IP network and Australia’s largest and fastest national mobile network. Their current mission is that they build technology and content solutions that are simple, easy to use and valued by their customers. They strive to serve and know their customers better than anyone else.

Organizations grow through concentration strategies of current business; extend the sale of current products or service. Firstly, market penetration—aggressively target current markets with existing product specialties. Telstra has been involved in the various forms of ideas for National Broadband Network. In its current form, Telstra intends to essentially sell its legacy copper network to NBN Co (Luke, 2008). In October 2011, Telstra’s shareholders approved this deal. Due to Telstra owning the majority of Australia’s copper network, Telstra announced it would remove many of phones citing unprofitably due to vandalism and the increasing take-up and use of mobile telephones.
