Relationships

When we think of relationships the first thing that comes to mind is we should all be honest and trusting to each other. Relationships-- casual ones , intimate ones, and all the ones in between are a large part of our life. In fact, the Bible is a book about relationships: our relationship with God, with ourselves, and with others. All relationships should be based on equality and should have a stable foundation so that no one will feel controlled. We can have relationships with all kinds of different things in this world but regarding relationship with a person you truly love, we may have a lot of obstacles to hurtle. Honestly relationships can sometimes have difficulties when referring to a couple that have big age differences, insecurities issues and from different cultures.

I have known Jack (my Fiancé) for four years now and we are 7 years apart in age but we don’t have problems because of our age. We do have a lot of experiences to share with each other because we both have been married before and we both have grown children. So we share new things with each other daily and there is never have a dull moment.

But being an older man who is dating a younger woman could create a lot of insecurities. Older men tend to be always concerned that a younger man will steal his lady for him and visa versa when it comes to a woman who is older then the man.

This can create a lot of self-esteem issues. But Jack and I don’t have these concerns because our relationship is honest and secure. If we do have any concerns we talk about until we come up with a solution for the problem or misunderstanding. In cases like these, the smart and right thing to do would be to have an intimate talk with your partner and to re-assure him or her through your actions and words, from time to time, about your love for him or her.
