Citywide Performance Reporting (CPR) is an online system with an interactive dashboard, which provides agencies and citizens with user friendly access to the most critical performance indicators for every city agency (Turban, Sharda, & Delen, 2011). It also has monthly updates and automatic evaluation of trends. CPR main components for the dashboard are a system that provides standardized reporting, where there are forty-four mayorial agencies, where the data that was involved with the development of CPR are performance management application, analytics tool/dashboard, and data definition.

The dashboard for CPR is to provide standardized reporting format with drill-down capabilities, performance summaries, and trend graphics. The dashboard main purpose is to make it easy and flexible for the use of the public, so that not just city agencies can use it, but also the people of the city. Being able to understand all the data that is coming from the city and provided to the public, it has to be able to be understood by the public, so that the data is made easy to understand. This is helpful in the dashboard for the public, since it is for public use, having technical terms will not let it be fully understood by the public.

There are forty-four agencies that are involved with the CPR dashboard. Those agencies give the data for the use of public, where the data is collected and calculated to display on the CPR dashboard. The data that was being measure affected the city residents, which was one of the main reasons why the city agencies wanted to make the data open to public. With having the total numbers of data and agencies being so large, that none of the public would remember the names, there was a development of themes, which helped in navigation and as well as the dashboard simplicity.
