Introduction
As we look to grow as an organization, we have to be able to understand the environment in which we are operating in order to take our new product to market. There will always be some obstacles to overcome. This is the best way to know what to expect and even save the trouble if we know that it is not the ideal venture we want to invest in. Whirlpool has been a manufacturer of appliances for almost a century and this is the best example of how we can be successful over the future. Let’s take a closer look at how this is accomplished through some steps that are taken before we go to market.
History of Whirlpool
Whirlpool Corporation was founded in 1908 by Lou Upton. He started it by investing in manufacturing household equipment. Even though the first investment did not work out, Lou continued on to the next venture. In 1911, he went into business with his uncle and brother to produce the first motorized washing machine. In 1916 Upton started a long standing relationship with Sears & Roebucks. The motorized agitators in washing machines became readily available in 1938 thanks to the merging of Upton Company and the Nineteen Hundred Washer Company. In 2011, Whirlpool has been in business for one hundred years and still going.
One of the appliances that have been created by Whirlpool lately is the Cabrio WTW6400sw3. It is a high efficiency washing machine that is computerized with a high spin that semi dries the clothes so it will reduce the drying time. It is comprised of fifty-three different many parts that all work together to wash clothes at a fast rate with several different cycles.
