IS IT RACING WITH THE MACHINE OR RACING AGAINST THE MACHINE?

Before I watch the lecture I asked myself this question more than ten times and the only reply in my brain is “Machine for human and not human for machine”. Improvement of machine is not everything and not that important unless men adjust and learn how to us the machine and also direct their activities toward the usage of the machine. This mean the advantage of machines depend on how people adjust and adopt to them eg the introduction of electricity that the impact was not felt for 30years. I think man can do without machine but not machine without man.

With machines or without machines there is productivity the only difference is time taken and the amount of man power used. With machines we can produce fast and in bulky. Technology has its good and bad parts especially due to Internet free services the world economy is affected. For example Google, Wikipedia, YouTube and many others offers a lot of free services which means zero input to the country’s GDP.

Due to machine and technology man life on earth has been comfortable but without human brain all the machine and technology will be in vain. If for example a car is programed to run a certain course and some changes occur after departure there is high chances of accident. Also in most cases the information or ideas in this machines get used up or outdated and if not updated they can cause serious damages.

Lastly I think machines don’t take jobs they create jobs is just that every field need deep knowledge if order to fit any part of digital society. It needs people to learn how to use machine and be technology friendly. People only see machines on developed economies perspective but imagine developing countries getting water generated so many people will...
