MANAGEMENT CONFLICT IN HUMAN RESOURTCES
What is management? Management is a person who oversees a department. Management directs his or her team in completing projects. Management also holds monthly meeting with his team. To keep his team/ department updated on what changes that has happened in the company. And the changes that are going to take place within the company; Also, If those changes will affect his/her department.
To be an effective management he/she must follow the four basic guidelines for managing a team. The four basic guidelines are: First, planning- management must plan goals as well as how to accomplish them with his team. A manager should have a one-on-one with each team member, to see what his or her goals are. What they want to accomplish in your department or in the organization. For example, when I started in the human resources department, my manager had a one-on-one with me the third day I was in the department. She held all of her calls for about an hour. She wanted to know how I liked the department so far. What I dis-like about the department, and are there any changes that could be made in the department as well. Just coming into the department and only working three days, I did not see a problem with the department at that time. As for my goals, I stated that I would like to become a manager assistant within six months. I wanted to start as an assistant to see if management is a field I wanted to pursue within the company. So, my manager told me what steps I need to take to reach my goal. With six months I was a manager assistant. Secondly, organization: management must gather resources to complete goals for his team in an efficient and effective manner. When I started in the human resources department, my manager at that time was very efficient in getting information back to her staff. If there was a project that had to be done quickly and efficiently, she would conduct a meeting with her staff and ask for input as to how...
