My eating habits are kind of horrible. I pretty much skip breakfast mostly everyday and if I do get up and eat breakfast then I would probably make me some eggs and bacon and toast. Or I sometimes eat me a bowl of Special K cereal with 1% milk which I guess would be better for me than bacon and eggs. For lunch I usually just munch around or make me something simple like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich like my daughter eats or a regular sandwich or I just eat some fruit but I must admit I do need to eat more fruit in my diet. For dinner, I normally just cook whatever is easiest to cook or whatever sounds good me and my boyfriend are not really into all the vegetables and stuff but I do sometimes try and eat a couple of vegetables like green beans, corn, tomatoes and of course lettuce.
According to My Pyramid Plan and based on the average needs for someone like me ( A 20 year old female, 5 feet 0 inches tall, of average weight, and physically active 30-60 minutes a day) my results stated that I need to eat about 6 ounces of grain, and try to make at least half of them whole grains, and I also need 2.5 cups of vegtables in which I need to vary dark green vegetables 3 cups weekly, orange vegetables 2 cups weekly, dry beans and peas 3 cups weekly, starchy vegetables 3 cups weekly, and other vegetables 6 ½ cups weekly. I also need 2 cups of various fruits, while cutting back on fruit juices; 3 cups of milk trying more calcium rich foods, and 5.5 ounces of meat and beans, I need to go lean with protein choosing low-fat or lean meats and poultry while varying my protein routine by choosing more fish, beans, peas, nuts, and seeds. My limits on fats, sugars, and sodium are 6 teaspoons a day, try limiting extra solid fats and sugars to about 265 calories a day. This plan is a 2000 calorie food pattern.
