SWOTT Analysis
Strengths
Due to society and how children are being raised in a technological advancing world, people of all ages are constantly wanting and purchasing the newest most state of the art gadgets. Because the iGadget is comprised of multiple different abilities it will quickly rival any competition that comes its way. Not only is the iGadget a cellular phone, that people on a regular basis are switching too rather than land lines, but it also contain great features like a GPS system and MP3 player.
Weaknesses
Like any cellular phone device, people want to be able to choose what they really want and what some feel they only need. Technology is not an inexpensive commodity and because of the price of the iGadget some consumers might not be as willing to purchase the device. Also some people only want simple devices which could cause these consumers to purchase a competitor’s device instead.
Opportunities
Because cellular phones are a rapidly growing business, there are many companies that are very willing to add the iGadget to its arsenal. The iGadget will be in competition with phones like the iphone and the blackberry. However, if properly marketed the iGadget has the potential to be much better than its competition because the state of the art systems it contains.
Threats
As more and more cellular phone companies immerge in this market, the threat of being out sold by competition is always a problem. However, the most important aspect to keep in mind with the iGadget is that we as a company must constantly strive to better the device or its future device counterparts.
Current Trends
Technology is increasing at an alarming rate giving product once thought to be the best ever made a run for the money. However, one trend that should be to our benefit is that some cell phones are exclusive to only one carrier and if the iGadget where to be available at any provider the possibility for increasing marketing sale...
