Being famous for “gender city” in the world, Islamabad, sets on Pothohar Plateau of northern Pakistan, is a young capital city, replacing the old capital city- Karachi during the 1960s. It is home to Faisal Masjid, which is the sixth largest mosque under the sun. Most of the inhabitants who believe in Islam pray in the mosque. The first official language is Urdu, but English is also widely spoken. The young city can best understood in terms of its climate, economy and culture. The purpose of writing this article is to explore the “garden city” in great details.

Islamabad is a typical version of a humid subtropical climate. The hottest months are from May to July, where average highs routinely exceed 38℃. The highest temperature is 45℃ in June. There are heavy rain falls and evening thunderstorms in monsoon season from July through September. In winter, it has dense fog in mornings and sunny afternoons. In addition, the temperatures stay mild to cold with sparse snowfall. To summaries, the weather range is ﹣3.6℃ in January to 40℃in June. It is a habitable city because of the weather.

One reason for Islamabad’s magnitude to Pakistan is that it has a net contribute to financial condition. Although it has only 0.8% of the population in Pakistan, it dedicates 1% to GDP. The industry is related found, furniture, construction and other industries about daily life. There are many state-owned companies like PIA, PTV, PTCL, OGDCL and Iaria Taraqiati Bank Ltd. Moreover, there are many branches of Karachi-based companies, banks and TV channels. The capital city has been seen an expansion in information and communications technology with the addition two software Technology Parks. In conclusion, it is a rapid economic development of the megalopolis.
