Speech Outline

I. Attention Getter: Has anyone ever felt like they were mistreated or perceived has differently in general, just because they are an alienated immigrant? Also if you feel has your rights as a human being just doesn’t matter and theirs nothing you can do? Well listen carefully, because this new law in Arizona has just been passed, and might just soon come into effect into yours.

II. Credibility Statement: On April of 2010, Arizona’s nation has passed one of the toughest law on illegal immigration. According to this new section, law enforcement officers have the right now to ask you about your immigration status while also enforcing other aspects of the law. If caught as an illegal immigrant in the state of Arizona, the officials have the right to deport you. Where as the law pertained before this, no one really had the right to ask you about your immigration status unless you are being interrogated in an act of crime.

III. Reveal Topic: Today I will be discussing, like most major persuasive speeches the cons and pros of this newly adopted law. Citizens initially reactions. Is this racial profiling? Will Arizona new immigration law survive?

IV. Preview: The advantage and disadvantage of the new law results…

A) If the law survives court predicts that there will be less crime and ‘’safer neighborhoods”.

B) With immigrants you get benefits in some areas will others your just losing money.

A) Crime has already been decreasing in Arizona before the effect of the new law.

B) The rest of America benefits by paying lower prices for things like restaurant meals, agricultural produce and construction.
