Reflection Paper on Service Output

Introductory Part

Few nights back, I was enjoying an ice-cream and planning to write the reflection paper for the course “Marketing Channels”. There were so many topics and subjects hitting my mind that I can select to write about. But right that moment, I looked at the ice-cream and asked myself how I got it so easily. Then I realized what I need to write about. It is about the “Service Output”. Marketing channel has made the daily life of every customer much more easy and convenient. A consumer can purchase any desired goods the way anyone could imagine before. Among all the concepts and terms of marketing channel, “Service Output” is something very important that all marketers now try to maintain at upmost level.

There are many companies and suppliers in the market. Consumers have lots of alternative way to purchase. Like the ice-cream, almost every single product is so much available in every location with desired level of quantity. Sometimes customers have to wait before the goods are delivered to them. But due to unlimited effort of marketers, the waiting time has also been reduced in many cases. Without “Service Output” the goods wouldn’t be so accessible. Consumers would have to travel so long and wait for hours to purchase any product. Thus “Service Output” has become an essential part of marketing channel.

Descriptive Part

Definition:

Service outputs are some benefits that end-users enjoy during purchase of any good. Consumers always have to go through some steps of decision making process while they go for shopping. They never want any delay in delivery or shortage of goods in stores. So marketers allow certain benefits that reduce consumers’ search, waiting time, storage, and financial risk. They make it possible by efficient market channels and proper coordination.
