Abstract
The well-being and empowerment of the employees play a significant role in the level of engagement and the organizational performance. The main focus of this work is to show a positive correlation between well-being, employee empowerment and performance. This paper examines the impact of wellness programs and effective stress management programs on the workplace performance. Further it shows the relationship between employee empowerment and performance. The work demonstrates practical examples and useful tips for creation of successful wellness and empowerment programs. The paper concluded that both wellness programs and the employee empowerment have a positive influence on the performance. The articles used in the paper come from EBSCO host database, Business Source Complete, Webster University Library. I researched with the key words: stress management, wellness, work performance, empowerment, career development. I tried to combine different type of articles to include diversity, both by author background and country origin. The search time frame was 2 hours.
