Different types of Bail;

1. Fully secured bail- person deposits with the court either the full bail amount or property example real estate deeds, worth the full bond amount.

2. Privately secured bail or surety bail- Post a bond for the full amount with the court this would be 10% of the total amount of the bail.

3. Percentage bail or deposit bail- With the court a pertange this bail is the third most common form of pre trial release.

4. Unsecured bail-does not require the defendant to deposit any money or collateral with the courts.

5. ROR- released on their own recognizance

The bail system effectiveness: The surety system of bail has proven to be very effective. It allows a person charged with a crime to keep their job, maintain their family life, and assist their attorney more easily in developing their defense. All for much less than the total amount of the bail. Between 1990 and 2004, 62% of felony defendants in State courts in the 75 largest counties were released prior to the disposition of their case.

Positives and Negative of the bail system- The person does not spend time in jail as they prepare for his case. Negative would be when the defenate does not show up for his case in court I'm assuming you mean the private system of bail bonding and bounty hunting.

The positive is it makes it possible for more people to make bond who would otherwise be in jail waiting for their court date.

The negative, is private companies have the greatest interest in securing the appearance of these people in court. Which means that if one of their clients absconds, that they will employ the least expensive method to find and capture the client.

This usually involves hiring armed people who are not answerable to any government agency, and are not bound by any of the restrictions imposed on law enforcement agents who are motivated only by the prospect of finding the bail skipper in the shortest possible amount of time.
