The mafia is a well-known going that is usually composed of family and friends. We chose the mafia as our interpretation because our scene relates to family ties. The quote, “And now you can prove what you are: A true sister, or a traitor to your family” (i, 26-27). This quote shows how strongly Antigone feels about her family.
The setting I chose is an old warehouse. This warehouse is in the south side of downtown. It is an old beat up warehouse that used to store liquor for a bar called Moe’s. The name of this warehouse is Moe’s Warehouse. The reason that this setting was chosen is because it is sort of secretive and discrete and it seems like a place that the mafia would meet up.
The adaption of the play that we chose was the mafia because in the Prologue and Scene 1 Antigone showed the issue of justice which was family ties. We chose the mafia because the mafia usually is family and bonded by family ties.
My strengths in contributing to this group was helping come up with the theme, and providing textual support for the introduction. I think I procrastinated a little on my part and I imposed on the deadline of the final part. I believe that I could use some improvement on my schedule time and I need to stop procrastinating so much. Overall, I believe that I did well on my part, but I could have done better.
