There are several different religions in the world today but only a few major ones that are the most popular. For example Hinduism has grown to be one of the world's largest religions . It is actually third behind Christianity and Islam with about 950 million followers which is about 14% of the world's population . Hinduism is not like Christianity in the sense that Christianity is a belief that one has verse Hinduism which is more like one's way of life, such as how spirituality is a way of life for Native Americans. Hinduism also differs from Christianity in the sense that when it comes to Hinduism there is not a single founder, no specific theological system, there is no single holy text, and there is no concept of a prophet. Hinduism is considered a henotheistic religion, with that they recognize only a single deity and view all other gods as manifestations of their one supreme God.

Considering that Hinduism lacks a uniting belief system, there are still several aspects that make up the Hindu religion. For instance most Hindus believe that their religion and its teachings are without beginning or end. The basic principle of the Hindu religion is the belief in one supreme being who may be worshiped as a formless entity or in any several hundred forms. Hindu's believe that you can speak to God in any way that suits you. There is no specific way or specific form you have to follow to speak with God. They also do not believe in judgment day or that there is a hell. They believe in Karma and feel that every soul has to go through some sort of suffering that has been brought to them in pasts life's. The soul is reborn over and over again to purify itself and reach the goal of good karma in hopes that it will be united with "Moksha" who is there almighty god.
