Wireless Technologies Proposal

According to the company’s third and fourth quarter reports, Mara’s Magnificent Pizzeria experienced a significant decline in sales revenue. Upon review of the company’s comment/suggestion cards and interviews with the staff, it was determined that customers were highly dissatisfied with the amount of time it takes to place and receive their orders. In order to resolve this issue, it is proposed that the company implements wireless technology into its business plan. The types of wireless devices proposed are the Square, iPhone, iPad, and Android phone. This proposal will cover the advantages, disadvantages, and risks for implementing these wireless technologies.

Over the years wireless technology has become an intricate part of today’s society. It has greatly impacted the business world in many ways. Wireless technology allows companies to connect multiple wireless devices to an Internet source which allows more system flexibility. Mobility is the most important aspect that wireless technology can give a company. Flexibility and mobility within the company is a key proponent for business success.

Timeliness is an important factor when dealing with customers in a fast food business. Using wireless devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and Android phone will greatly benefit the company. These devices can be used to place and track orders for the customer on the spot. The wireless devices will transmit the orders to the database that is used by the cooks when preparing orders. This will greatly decrease the amount of time it takes to process the customer’s order.
