Introduction

Marketing communication is all the massages that sent from the business to the market or the consumer about the brand or the product. Using the marketing mix and advertising to deliver a value to the consumer. In this portfolio we would compare and contrast the methods of communication that has been used by the largest IT firms in world Apple and Microsoft.

The way of marketing communication Apple is using lead it to be one of the top known brands and worth even more than Microsoft. (Business insider 2010)

The product names and how it’s important:

Apple has made it’s own unique character in naming it product. Using the letter “I” then the name of the product or the service as an example of iPhone, iMac, iPod, and iCloud. This characteristic made their products identified easily as Apple product. On the other hand, Microsoft doesn’t have criteria of naming it services and products that made it lose that advantage.

Massages transmit via traditional advertising channels

Advertising

Advertising includes prints, outdoors, and TVC. Apple massages for all the products has the unique same style that has been known for it for years. Apple ads are universal it’s used by all mobile companies partners for the iPhone just the logo of the company is added. They use the same ad that apple produced that ensures that the customer receives the massage that the company wants.

* (Get a Mac) TV commercials 2006-2009 one of the best campaigns that’s shows the weakness of the PC and the bright side of the Mac in a comedy way.

* 2010 Apple has decided to cancel (Get a Mac) TV campaign and focus on showing the strength of it products and it’s features.
