Andrew mentioned Wikipedia as a source and noted that it is not considered reliable. Please be aware that for academic papers such as expository essays, Wikipedia is not considered a credible source. The articles there can be written and edited by anyone who registers for the site. The articles are not peer-reviewed. However, Wikipedia can provide a general overview of a subject and point you in the right direction. For example, when I need a quick overview of something for work, I often consult Wikipedia just so I can get background information about a topic, and then I can find specific information from a more credible source if I need to incorporate facts about the topic into something I'm I believe Wikipedia to be a good source of information to use to only to gain information from, but to use a reference or credible source is not what it should be used for because like everyone else is saying it isn`t a credible source. Using Wikipedia is like quoting information from what a friend just told you because it bias and leans to one side or the other. I would only use Wikipedia for informational purposes on subjects that I really didn`t know anything about and if I wanted that topic at a more specific level I would consult either a professor or a more Finding credible and reliable sources on the web can sometimes be a real tricky thing to do. The most reliable and easy way to determine if a website contains reliable information is to look at the websites URL. The URL can tell a lot about the contents of a website. If the URL ends in .gov, .edu, or .org this means that these websites have come from reliable sources such as a university or even from the government.
