Q3. How does you feel about the old saying "buyer beware"?

Buyer beware is actually come from the proverb of "let the buyer beware". This proverb indirectly notifies that the buyer has the responsibility to notice and discover the goods that his or her purchase. The purchaser has to be vigilant and careful to check and inspect defects in the purchase of a good. All the defects of a good are subjected to the buyers themselves. This rule is not designed to protect the seller from being involved in fraud or doing something bad in business in order to cheat the buyers. This concept is to tell that buyers must examine and test the goods before carry out any purchasing process.

In this case, the customers of J & G Garden Center must know this "buyer beware" concept well when they decided to use the company's products and services. In this case, we know that there was a customer's dog became ill because of eating the grass from the treated lawn. The customer should not be blame the company and on the contrary the customer has the responsibility to carry out the after-care safety precaution which is instructed by the company's technician. The concept of "buyer beware" in this situation tell us that the customer must be careful when he or she decided to receive the service from J & G Garden. On the other hand, the customer must be able to carry out all the precautions according the handout given by the company.

As a conclusion, purchasers must always be careful in any purchasing process. However, sellers also have the responsibility to take care of their buyers and not trying to sell the defect products or engage into any unethical activities to cheat the customers. In this case, J & G Garden Center has do the responsibility as a ethical seller who always take care of their customers by giving out a well-written handout of all the precaution steps have to be taken for the treated lawn.
