“Is Google making us stupid?”

Yes and no. I say yes because I personally feel that I get almost 90 percent of my information online. As a consumer for example I won’t actually go to a store and visually look at a product and as questions about it. I simply look for product reviews and once I am satisfied that there are more positive than negative I will purchase the item. I either purchase it online or actually go to the store and when the salesperson asks me if need help I simply decline. Now the reason I can say this is stupid is online product reviews can be biased. They can be fake reviews put out there by the company to make this product appear like everyone wants it. Had I actually gone into the store that sells multiple brands of the same item I could ask the salesperson what their opinion is. I mean after all they work there daily and they know which brand has the best reliability or rate of return. The salesperson doesn’t work for a particular brand. I don’t think it’s a bad thing but I do think the one negative is that it takes away from human interaction. In the library for example the librarian could show you some new material that may help with the research or you could meet someone else writing the same paper and share some resources. It’s just like E-mail in the workplace has taken away from human interaction. The person who sits next to me in my cubicle will send me an E-mail even though I am right next...
