The Ten Principles of Economics

Principle I Deals with tradeoffs and the fact that you live in a small apartment and you need a bigger place is base on efficiency. You will soon be a proud parent and the kid needs room to breathe and so will you and spouse! And this is where equity jumps in for good measure believes me.

Principle II Tells one that the idea of being far from local services and good schools for your kid, or kids, yes, twins, etc. brings us into opportunity cost and the idea of what is going to be given up, so wave bye bye to the cool studio and say hello to modern day boring suburbia.

Principle III Tells us that living in the suburbs and driving a shuttle bus with the classic 2.2 baby on board will cost you, and that my friend is where rational people and the idiots part company. Decide on the living costs and where you want live and make marginal changes i.e. a possible job change, re-location from the state you are for a better job, or whatever you see that helps your family.

Principle IV The incentive to move and get a higher paying job is the basis of locating a relater who can set you and your family up in a nice crib (no pun intended) that is a good financial incentive for your current money situation.

Principle V Sometimes trade is a beautiful ting and the best place for you and your new tribe is possibly a gated community where the trade offs are often a big incentive! Look at having paying a fee in a housing community to have your yard cut, or some bigger apartments pay more towards utilities quite possibly saving you money. How about a pool? You pay for the incentive to have a stay at home vacation “staycation.”

Principle VI Checks and balances are the best way a market is able to flourish and we see that the all the hands at the table have a good “poker face” WE DEAL IN GOODS AND SERVICES in a market economy and the new dig you need for your family is going to be based on that current trend and location, location, location as...
