- Students and teachers in March of 1965 at university of Michigan began “teach-ins” which are mass meetings were dozens of people spoke out against war.
- Teach-ins began taking place at colleges and universities
- Some young people worked for the Civil Rights Movement
- Students joined protest movements against banning nuclear weapons, protecting the envioroment, winning equal rights for women
- Stan Koper from University of Michigan said : “The society in which we were living seemed upside down- crazy. The war seemed to be the craziest of all.”
