Subject: Memorandum of Introduction
In this memorandum, I will discuss my overall experiences and goals with professional writing. I will (1) identify my academic and professional writing experience, (2) identify my writing strengths and weaknesses, and (3) identify how this course can help me achieve my personal and professional goals.

Of course many of my non-English classes have required research papers on various topics. In my current career I am a compliance analyst. I conduct compliance examinations of companies to ensure they are operating within state and federal law. After each examination I am required to complete what is called a Report of Examination. In this report I detail any compliance deficiencies found as well as make recommendations to management. This role has tremendously helped me with my writing skills.

Achieving My Personal and Professional Goals
By taking this course I hope to be able to create writings directed at my target audience so that I clearly get my point across. I hope to be able to feel more comfortable and relaxed when it comes to my writing assignments whether it’s for work or for school. I see this class as an opportunity to be able to apply what I learn here to what I am already doing in my career.
Through this course I hope to be able to...
