Change and Culture Case Study II

Team we are six months pass the merge of the healthcare and things are going great. As we are moving forward more changes are coming and before I did stated that we would not be laying off any employees at that time and that still stands, but we are going to try something that is a little different but I will work through this with the staff. The process that we are putting into place is job redesigning. One we have been reviewing is universal worker and that is when one employee has cross training in other areas to assist the department to run smoothly.

First I will be reviewing everyone’s abilities and see where I think a good fit for cross training and I will also sit down with the ones that I think this would be a great opportunity for and see what your thoughts are and also where do you see yourselves cross training. I am open for other options as well but we have to get moving forward to get the changes in place. I do understand that some positions we can not add any more duties to but as I have stated this is to avoid laying off and using what we have to increase the quality of care with the vision and mission still part of the focus as well as patient care.
