“Ring, ring ..!” the alarm went off.

I reached my hand out to switch off the alarm, and I jumped out of my bed. I pulled the curtains apart and beams of light ray shine in through the windows. I was wearing the best suit I had and ensured that I am in the best shape while practicing my smile repeatedly in front of the mirror.

I was an insurance agent and I had not clinched any deal with any client for the past three months.

Hence, my boss decided to give me a chance by introducing a major client to me and for me to be able to make a comeback in order not to lose my job.

I was a bundle of nerves while sitting alone in the café waiting for the arrival of the major client. When the major client arrived, she had a distinct feature of a mole that was a size of a five-cent coin near her mouth. On top of that, an extremely long strand of hair was sticking out from the mole. My whole attention was on the mole since the major client has arrived and amazingly, the tense feeling disappeared as well. I tried to look away but the mole on her face just caught my attention.

“What are you looking at?” she asked in her deep voice.

In order not to appear impolite, I quickly moved my eyes away from the client’s mole.

“No...Nothing,” I stumbled and took a quick look at her.

That was the longest stand of hair sticking out from the mole I had ever seen and I was astonished. Whenever the major client spoke, the mole and the hair would move as well. I tried to hold back my laughter as much as I could. The major client had already seemed to be a little annoyed by my giggling. Thus, I tried to calm my laughing nerves down and get back in shape.

Everything was going smoothly and I was about to clinch a deal with her. She took a sip from her coffee and incredibly the long stand of hair sticking out from her mole got stuck in between her teeth.
