Introduction

Heathwood Hardware IT system has limited support because of the separate systems for each application software. HHI’s applications used are accounting, inventory management, and sales order & fulfillment. The existing system is a commercial off-the-self system that was purchase individual for each applications. At this time the systems aren’t integrated which has cause duplicated data entry, data discrepancies, and information processing inefficiencies. HHI orders are sometime lost or misplace because of the processing information processing inefficiencies. When the orders are lost or misplaced the orders are process manually.

This report will introduce a new integrate system for HHI, that will provided HHI with information design that will be easy access and reduce errors with the current IT system. The report will provide the general information of the integrated system and the benefits and challenges of the new integrated system. HHI doesn’t at the time have a website and this report will demonstrate creating a website and also provide basic functions of the e-business. The report will provide HHI with the ability of understanding the benefits and opportunity with having an e-business integrated with the company.

Analysis of EIA for HHI

Before deciding on the best integrated system for HHI, first you have to understand the term of Enterprise Information Architecture and how EIA will benefit HHI current systems. EIA is basically a system that integrated the company information and provided the company with an efficiency and durability infrastructure system. It provides a roadmap that show the physical integrates of the system. When deciding on an EIA there are some goals that must be thought about which includes: user are able to access information easy, security, reduce the data redundancy, minimized the cost of storages and outside users access.
