Why is education important to Randall K. Canady?

As a US Army Retired Master Sergeant and presently a civil employee, I’ve discovered throughout the past years that education would be the key to my success. I understand why education is important in today’s society. Mt. Olive College institutes and motivates people of all age brackets. I feel education will help me define the basic framework I will need to be a better individual and obtain the necessary tools and fundamentals that will lead me to the desired education beyond my current level of education which is 12th grade.

My personal objective is to increase my verbal skills, in performing my day to day task in life and becoming more effective in my writing and reading skills. The level of education I’m seeking will help spark and develop a new interest in life for me such as; a wider choice of employment selection with a degree under my belt loop. I’ve come to realize that education is something that everyone will eventually need to obtain in order to move forward in our strenuous US job market.

Education is powerful, and it gives me the knowledge that no man on earth can limit me in obtaining, but myself. Learning will help me interpret things in life the right way and help my intellect, improve along with my dialect. Massaging my brain can only help motivate my desire to continue to strengthen my leadership skills and place me in a position that I can determine my wealth in society. Seeking education will empower me to take charge and motivate others around me that age doesn’t make a difference when obtaining higher level of education.

Education is something that I use to procrastinate about, and now that I’ve taken on the challenge I know stopping at an AA degree will not be enough for me. My goal is to obtain a BA Degree and it’s something I look forward in achieving. If school captivates my mind enough I will...
