Scope Statement
Project Name: American Cancer Society Local Fundraising Events
Project Manager: Lucille Ontiveroz
Project Objective: Is to achieve a goal of $50,000 or more in funds within a time frame of 3 months to be used in the continued effort of researching cancer and be used toward the development of newer treatments. And have these events be managed in a budget of no more than $6,500 to finance these fundraising events.
Deliverables:
* Venues:
* To use in the 5k walk charity event
* To use in the auction house event
* To use for a BBQ cookout event
* Have a wide selection of items to auction off for the auction house
* Have the 5k walk event be filled with a considerate amount of participants
* Produce a sufficient amount of food prepared for a large crowd at the BBQ cookout
Milestones:
1. Have permits acquired for each venue to use – June 7th
2. Acquire all necessary materials to decorate each event – June 12th
3. Gather all the necessary adequate food for the cookout – June 20th
4. Acquire the permission for support from city services (EMS, Fire Department, Police) – June 29th
5. Have round up all auction items from vendors wishing to give to the auction house event – July 7th
6. Post all advertisements from many media outlets about the upcoming events (radio, television, newspaper) – July 14th
7. Have all support staff sign up for which event they wish to help in – July 22th
8. Acquire all the necessary supplies to cook food for the BBQ cookout – July 31st
9. Begin the preparation for the 5k walk charity event – August 6th
10. Begin the preparation for the auction house event – August 13th
11. Begin the preparation for the BBQ cookout event – August 20th
