COURSE DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
Course Description and Objectives
The main purpose of this course is to provide an introductory understanding of the basic concepts of financial management to the students, and to develop the usage of important financial tools and skills to assist the students in the application of the concepts in a real world. Since the business environment of a firm is changing rapidly, a strong foundation in the principles of finance is necessary to understand investment and financing decisions.
The main teaching method is through lectures based on the main textbook and supplementary materials including real world examples and cases. This introductory course is targeting those students who want to major in business and/or those who did not take any financial management course before.
