Proposing leadership styles for DIA

From reading case 23 it appears that the Denver Airport Project couldn't seem to put the project together the correct way and get the project off the ground.There were too many delays which cost the project alot of money and instead of sitting down and thoroughly thinking things out they were trying to rush the project which as time went on I believe everyone that was involved in this project realizes that putting this project together would be as easy as thought.

The leadership styles I would recommend for Denver Airport Project would be transformational leadership. Transformational Leadership starts with the development of a vision, a view of the future that will excite and convert potential followers. This vision may be developed by the leader by the senior team or may emerge from a broad series of discussions. I believe that this project should of been carried out thoroughly, a strategic plan should have been made as well as putting people together who are willing to work as a team to accomplish the goal opening the airport for successful business."The single biggest way to impact an organization is to focus on transformational leadership". "There is almost no limit to the potential of an organization that recruits good people, raises them up as leaders and continually develop them".

Team coaching would be another approach I would have recommend for DIA would be team coaching."The impact of team coaching,whether providing by a formal team leader or by fellow group members,depends directly on the degree to which the proper coaching functions are fulfilled competently at appropiate times and circumstances"."Examples of coaching include a "press" meeting before a new Product/project is announced,giving the team feedback on their performance or asking the team thoughtful questions about their recommendations for a new strategy".Just because a person is chosen to lead a project and team doesn't mean that they should not...
