In light of the current era and the uncertain future of delicate earth systems; companies, schools, individuals and activist are embarking on the sustainability journey to educate and fully authored citizens with the skills and knowledge to create positive change. Coming together and making this change will secure our ability to exist and depend on the ecosystem in which we live. Our world is extremely fragile, if we lose one mineral or particle it could completely disrupt the geological balance of our world. Protecting our earth from harmful toxins, oil spills, soil erosion and climate change we need to take actions in finding a solution or alternative means. Weather we decrease our need for oil, use solar and wind for power or search for oil in other places, we as individuals need to start making change in our daily lives and habits to create change decrease the constant destruction of our earth.

Companies across the world are making change to increase their efforts of sustainability, but there is still minimal change after more than 20 years since the introduction of sustainability. The problem with corporate sustainability is each company serves different markets and creates different products. According to Kinter (2008) “there is no one size fits all in sustainability”. Each company has to come up with a strategic plan to receive optimal results. Going green is not an easy task and it requires a detailed plan of the present and the future. There are a few companies that have actually taking this movement seriously and implemented policy change through manufacturing, revamped products and made interoffice change. But others have made minor changes to appease these standards.

I do not believe I will see the destruction of earth in my lifetime or my children’s life time, but I do my part to help keep our earth clean. I try not to be wasteful when it comes to water, food, power, gas and I try not to use plastic or non recyclable items. The damage we have...
