Based on the article and other reference materials, identify two advantages and two disadvantages for retaining older workers. You should examine the issues from your organization’s point of view.

From my organization’s point of view, worker’s service with experience is one of the benefits. Mature workers often have excellent customer service skills. They have years of experience in dealing with people and solving problems. It is best not to over manage older employees. They need less watching and guiding than younger worker. They don't need to be told how to do a task. Just tell them what you need done and when you need it done, and they are off doing it. Besides, older workers have better communication skills. They have a wealth of experience in dealing with all manners of people. They can use their skill to interact and develop good relationships with customers and find out what their requirements are and how the company can fulfil these adequately. Also, they are generally slow to anger and will be patient when dealing with angry and dissatisfied clients. Many people prefer to deal with older people who are persuasiveness rather than a young person.

On the other hand, the disadvantages of keeping older workers are related to their health problem. They often suffer from discomfort and pains while working. To more serious medical conditions, they even require time off and medical treatment. Also, the most common cause of work-related disability among older workers is musculoskeletal disorders. Older workers may overload their musculoskeletal system and develop degenerative diseases. For example, handling heavy loads over long periods may cause lower back pain. Moreover, older workers are hard in learning. They always feel scared in using technology equipment.
