A five-year career plan is important for every individual to have as it provides a clear path and development plan to any individual to follow, it also helps reach their goals and create achievements. I currently work for Insurance Auto Auctions as a Branch Manager and have developed a list of career goals and an analysis of development task in order to identify where I want to be and accomplish in five years.
Career Goals and Objectives
I have set several career goals and objectives in my current field. I have extensive experience working with and leading people. Utilizing my expertise and skills, I have set goals to help in achieving an upper management position with my company.
A major requirement for many positions within Insurance Auto Auctions require a Bachelors degree, I am currently 3 months away from graduation. This was one of my first goals to achieve the position I currently seek. Completing my bachelors degree will also allow for promotional opportunities in my current employer allowing for growth.
Promotional Opportunities
I am currently a Branch Manager with my current employer. There are three levels of branches within my company; Small, Medium and Large. I currently manage a large branch so in order for me to grow with my company, I need to prepare myself for multiple branch management. This will be by way of an Area Manager position. Most Area Managers are in charge of a state unless you manage Texas or California. This will then prepare me for Executive management with my company. In order to ensure I reach these levels in my current employer, I have developed methods of career management to ensure I reach my goals.
