Whether Jane Doe’s petition for an asylum is filed in a timely manner under the United States immigration law?

Search Tools: I will use Bing and Westlaw to for researching case law and statutes.

Websites: This issue relies solely on federal law because it involves applying for United States citizenship. I plan to use the following websites for my research, because they are based on federal law, statutes, and how to apply for an asylum.

* United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (www.uscis.gov). The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service website provides information about immigration law, and provides detailed information about the time limits in which a person can apply for an asylum.

* Cornell University Law School (www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/8/208.13.- The Cornell University Law School website provides all of the Codes of Federal Regulations, as well as United States Codes that apply to asylum.

* FindLaw (www.findlaw.com)- FindLaw provides detailed information on immigration laws and asylum.

* Library of Congress (www.congress.gov)- The Library of Congress offers information about Legislation, Bills that apply to asylum, and the process of obtaining an asylum.

* Black’s Law Dictionary- Provides the definition of an asylum, and statute of limitation.

* Public Library of Law (http://www.plol.org/Pages/Search.aspx)- Provides statutes, case law, regulations, the constitution, in reference to asylum laws.
