Teamwork

In the workplace, effective teamwork can produce extraordinary results. However, that is easier said than done, as effective teamwork does not happen automatically or overnight. There are a number of factors that are required to cohere together, and work seamlessly for an effective team to develop and work. Jack is talking about a team approach to managing. Forming a team has a lot to do with the understanding of the mission and objectives of Sandwich Blitz. Jack and Jenny are striving to improve results for customers and improve Sandwich Blitz. So, what will make an effective team at Sandwich Blitz? Successful team building creates effective, focused work teams, and it requires attention to each of the following:

1. Clear Expectations: Will Jack and Jenny clearly communicated their expectations for the team’s performance and expected outcomes (scibd.com, n.d.)?

2. Context: Will the teams understand how the strategy of using the team approach to managing will help Sandwich Blitz and attain its communicated expansion goals (scibd.com, n.d.)?

3. Commitment: Will the team members perceive their service as valuable to Sandwich Blitz and to their own careers (scibd.com, n.d.)?

4. Competence: Will the team feel that each member will have the knowledge, skill and capability to address the issues within Sandwich Blitz (scibd.com, n.d.)?

5. Charter: Will the team take its assigned area of responsibility and design its own mission, vision and strategies to accomplish the required mission (scibd.com, n.d.)?

6. Control: Will the teams have enough freedom and empowerment to feel the ownership necessary to accomplish tasks (scibd.com, n.d.)?

7. Collaboration: Will the team understand team process and will they understand the stages of group development while they work together effectively interpersonally (scibd.com, n.d.)?
