For our final assignment for Business 610 Organizational Behavior we are asked to describe an organizational change that our work organization is likely to make in the future. As I am not employed at the moment, I will use as my organization a company that if not careful will surely end up as another failed business and close the doors. This company has failed five times in the past 6 years and is currently on its seventh time to make a go of it financially; simply because of greed, arrogance, and unintelligent business choices.

If I was one of the owners/managers, I would be asking myself the following questions "Why have we failed so many times?" and "How can we fix it this time around?" Sadly, the answer lies within the management skills of the owners. The owners are not in tune with up-to-date business management ideas and if they hope to prosper this seventh time; they need to come into the 21st century and become aware of new ideas within the scope of organizational behavior and organizational change. They need to get over the old school mentality that I am the owner and the boss and you are just my lowly employee.

The owners/management resort to bad business practices such as false advertising, price gouging along with embezzlement. The philosophy of the owners is not related to the customer comes first it is related to the owners come first and to quote my former boss, "I need money!" Period. That is all this company is about just give them their money and you should hope to get the services and equipment that you paid for.

In taking management classes, I see what not to do. To describe the change management approach and make recommendations which should be instituted to minimize any adverse impact on the company and its employees is very personal to me indeed. I have a few simple ideas that this company could do which would set them in a positive direction.
