As you requested in the Month of May, this report outlines the results of my investigation into my past and it is a reflection of a mistake that I made. It includes what I learned and how I have grown.

Over the past 29 years I have been faced with a variety of circumstances and they have made me the person I am. People close to me have seen my transition to the person I am today and my past transgressions are the reason I am who I am and where I am. One mistake in particular that I’d like to discuss is when I took a loan out when I didn’t need it and when I couldn’t afford to pay it back.

Important Events

I was attending college in South Carolina and I was participating on the baseball team. My classes and most other obligations were paid for by a scholarship that I earned academically and athletically. Any additional costs I incurred were graciously paid for by my family who was dedicated to helping me get through school without any debt. I, however, couldn’t live within my means and instead applied for a loan. Though I had no way to repay the loan, I took the money and purchased worldly goods that I could have waited for.

Problems Faced

Upon finishing my time in South Carolina and moving back to Florida the realization that I had to repay the loan started to set in. I had no work and no income to pay any of the bills that were amounting. I began working at a Pawn Shop locally, but I was making minimal money and couldn’t afford to pay my rent, let alone a loan payment. As the late fees started to amount I had to seek help from the same family that had committed to help me avoid this very situation. Thanks to them I was able to pay off the loan and avoid any further damage to my financial well being.

Consequences of My Actions

I have learned many things from taking out the loan. I, also, now work in the finance industry, so it is important that I realize the ramifications of my own actions in order to lend advice to others. I have since achieved...
