Abstract

Enrolment is the first stage to enter a school or university and being enrolled is the proof that you are already part of them, yetone of the complaints of students is the poor enrolment system. Some of the factors affecting enrolment are the lack of staff during enrolment and the large population of students. But the main problem for the students is the procedure of the enrolment itself. That is why this research was conducted; to compare the enrolment system of Bulacan State University with other universities that practices differentenrolment systems. This also aims to discuss the concept of online enrolment and the advantages and disadvantages of having automated enrolment procedures.

There are four universities involved in this research: Bulacan State University, Holy Angel University, University of the Assumption and Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University. The researchers used survey forms and online polls to get reliable results. Survey forms and online polls are combined in obtaining results from Bulacan State University. On the other hand, online polls are used in Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, Holy Angel University and University of Assumption. .

As a result, it shows that Holy Angel University and University of the Assumption provides better enrolment system compared to the other two state universities. This is mainly because they have low population, higher fund and the fact that they are charging higher tuition fees than state universities. Most of the state universities have large population but low funds, making it hard for them to upgrade their enrolment system. Seeing that changing the enrolment system is not that possible, it is still recommended for state universities to improve their enrolment system. This is not just to cope with the advancing technology but for the betterment of their students and staff.
