There are many drugs out in the world today. There are some that are used to help people with the illnesses that they have, and there are others that people use for recreational purposes. The drugs that are used for recreational uses are dangerous and cause the person that is using to become addicted to it. These drugs can alter the mind and the body of the person that is abusing it. There are many different types of recreational drugs, and the effects that happen to the person are different from drug to drug. Even some of the drugs that are used to help people can be abused for recreational uses.
Physiology and Psychology of Addiction
The human brain is easily caught inside the disease that is called addiction. When a person abuses a substance, the body and the brain gets a need to have more of the substance. This can cause the person to lose all willpower and they will do whatever they can to get the next fix. If they do not get their next fix, they will feel like the world is ending for them, and they will become desperate and try just about anything to get their drug of choice. When this happens, the abuser will resort to stealing and violence to try and get their next fix.
Drug Substances
There are many different types of drugs, and they are listed into different categories based on what they do to the person. The categories are stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, and cannabis. The effects that these drugs have on people are different from category to category. Below is a description of each category, the drugs in the category, and the side effects.
