Upon evaluating Kudler Fine Food network it has been found necessary that the network will need to undergo a redesign in order for Kudler Fine Foods to take advantage of the new technology. This is necessary to keep up with the growth of their industry’s market and keep Kudler Fine Foods competitive. Kudler Network goals are to make improvement to their network systems that are not only up to date but are fiscally responsible. There are basically three remote locations that need to be interconnected, i.e. home office, La Jolla, Del Mar store, Encinitas store. There is a need to take a close look at all of their store networks. Starting with the Home Office La Jolla, there are three departments in the Home office that need to be connected to be able to communicate mutually. The home office has corporate marketing, finance, and HR that need to be logically kept segregated from the interference of business operation while at the same time operating in conjunction with each other. Below is a breakdown of each of the store networks components:

• La Jolla network components are built around a 100baseT environment.

• The WAN is made up of T3 dedicated line interconnecting the three stores.

• The main server a IBM blade server system C3000 running Unix operating system that runs

• SAP, ERP,SW all print and file services, network services and e-mail, storage and Web

services.

• The servers are backup with 10TB NAS.

• Backup power is provide by a 5KVA APD UPS for the La Jolla backbone system.

• The Retail store operate NCR Real POS 82XRT POS terminals and system,

• There are 19 Dell Vostro computers running Windows 7 Applications, along with 3 HP network Printers that are being utilized

• by the administration personnel.

• Communication ported transmitted through La Jolla through 2 Cisco routers and firewalls.

• The inter –store dedicated network consisting of 25Mbps link to the Ethernet.

• There are also 19 VoIP phone installed.
