Ethnographic Study: What Causes an Employee to do Less Work?

I have currently completed the process of conducting an ethnographic study in my workplace. I have recently changed companies and currently work as a banker in a largely known retail bank, but my study is based on my last employer (another large retail bank). There are two sides to a retail bank, the Tellers and the Platform. The Tellers perform cash transactions and customer service and the Platform (Bankers) handle the sales. The objective of this survey is to identify the common types of distractions for my co workers (both the Tellers and the Platform), the way the employees at my branch work while the manager is in the branch, while they manager is away, and why they treat these days differently. This will be beneficial to the company because although this is only a single branch, it will pave the way to figure out what needs to be done to change the attitudes and production of its workers. This information is also important because I am in the same type of position, but at a different company. After conducting this study, I will be able to relay my findings from the other company to my new employer to make sure the same practices to not ensue.
