The iPad2 is currently the second generation of the original iPad which is a tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple Corporation. The iPad2 serves as a mobile device platform for audio-visual media including books, movies, music, games, presentations, and web content. It was introduced by former CEO Steve Jobs on March 2nd, 2011 during a press conference. The iPad2 went on sale on March 11th, 2011 in all U.S. stores (online and offline). It was released internationally to 25 countries, most of them in Europe and further pushed distribution to Asia, Africa and South America by the beginning of April. The iPad2 has highly advanced design making it thinner, lighter than its previous iPad model and is fully loaded. That’s the idea behind its innovative design. It’s just 0.34 inches thin and weighs as little as 1.33 pounds, so it feels completely comfortable in your hands (Apple, 2011). The iPad2 also comes with a fully advanced operating system, Apple’s new IOS 5, which performs 9 times faster than their first generation model. IOS 5 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system and has over 200 new features including newsstand, iMessage and the notification center.

Apple is positioning their products with a newly released service iCloud that compliments its products. iCloud stores your music, photos, documents, and more and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices automatically and with no effort required. With its easy-to-use interface, amazing features, and rock-solid stability, iOS is the foundation of iPad. The iPad 2 has two different models, 3G and Wi-Fi. Within each model, there are three space capacity differences, including the 16GB, 32GB and the 64GB. Depending on the space capacity of the iPad 2, prices also differ with them.
