Every day we think about a workplace and understand how to clock in and get a paycheck, but it is up to the business owners to carry out the vision of the company and move forward far above the competition. Fortune Magazine’s 2012 ranking for best companies to work for are Google #1, Boston consulting group #2 and SAS Institute these companies are the best overall. These companies ranked the best based on several factors, employee satisfaction, perks, benefits and overall work environment.

First Google, everything was left totally up to Google which was revenue, profits, share price, paid search clicks, hiring and so forth. To include these advantages for the company so was employee satisfaction. Employees raved about their mission, the culture and the famous perks (bowling alley, bocce courts especially in the New York office to include food on the premises at all offices. In relation to the classic theory, developed by George Homans, he suggests that groups develop based on activities, interactions and sentiments. Basically, the theory means that when individuals share common activities, they will have more interaction and will develop positive attitudes towards each other. This is a major element in a conducive work environment. This company strives to maintain the open culture often associated with startups, in which every is a hands-on contributor and feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. In weekly all hands meetings workers are allowed to speak to executives about issues or monuments within the work environment. Also the cafés are designed to encourage interaction within and across teams in order to spark conversation about work and about recreation.
