Dwarsligger is a Dutch publishing company established in 2010 and is part of the VBK Group. The VBK Group is a major Dutch publisher also responsible for the ‘Van Dale Uitgevers’. The publisher Jongbloed B.V patented the idea of ‘Dwarsligger’ books in 2006. In 2009 the first Dwarsligger copy was offered to the Dutch Minister of Education Ronald Plasterk.
