The FDA has a big part in the public’s safety as well as its health. The FDA is responsible for medical drugs, efficacy, biological products, the nation’s food supply, and the human as well as the biological products. The FDA also is responsible for making medicines that are released more affordable, safer and effective to benefit the health of the public. They also are in charge of regulating the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of the tobacco to maintain a healthy environment and limit the usage of tobacco from minors. A big role that the FDA plays is in the counterterrorism and fulfills this responsibility of keeping all food secure as well as development of medications for the public health threats.

To report an emergency you need to call 911 and tell the person where what happened and where specifically where you are. The FDA has a umber too and they are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Some examples on when to call for an emergency would be if you are a medical professional and you need approval for the use of and emergency investigational new drug, you need to report an emergency involving a FDA employee of the their families.

3. Four different things that would be considered a non-emergency would be food, vaccines, blood transfusions and donations, and animal feed/treats.
